Higher category rooms include a private garden with sunbeds and outdoor rainfall showers. The hotel features a stunning infinity swimming pool with beautiful views of working rice fields and a duck farm, there is also a restaurant and pool bar, all guests are provided with a free bicycle to explore the surrounding areas.  

Scene

The Azumi is a quiet family hotel located right on the edge of Hoi An’s main street food district, a 10 minute walk from the old town. While the street it is on is home to a lot of local restaurants and cafes, there are also other choices - including Azumi’s own restaurant that serves up delicious Vietnamese cuisine well into the evening. The hotels key attractions are the stunning rural views and it’s pool, which is a great spot for meeting fellow travellers and hospitality of local Owner. The hotel appeals to those looking for unique stays and alternatives to more typical hotels and is especially suited to families with kids of all ages, who are both warmly welcomed and well catered for.

The rooms at Azumi are set around a courtyard swimming pool, each offering rural views of rice fields and farmland. All rooms feature finely polished wood floors and look stylish and elegant. The colour scheme is neutral with colourful cushions and beautiful paintings of local Hoi An scenes adorning the walls. Each comes with a king-size bed with luxury duvets and 300-thread-count sheets, a writing desk and plenty of wardrobe space and a daybed that can be converted into an extra bed; there is also a family room that comfortably sleeps four. Standard for all room types are a 40-inch flat-screen smart TV, a kettle, a minibar and a safe. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms and throughout the property. Bathrooms are luxurious and feature rainfall showers, marble sinks and a separate toilet, a nice touch here are the organic bath products provided by the owners.

All rooms have either balconies or terraces, most of which look out over the pool and have chairs and tables to relax on. The best rooms come with a private walled garden with outdoor shower and sunloungers.

Hotel Features

The Azumi is quite small, but it has a large number of features not commonly found in the small hotels of Hoi An. The centerpiece of the hotel is the beautiful infinity pool that overlooks the neighbouring rice fields, it’s long enough to do a few laps and has a pool bar and wooden deck fake area set-up with sunloungers and umbrellas for shade. The hotels lobby is cleverly designed to take in the best views and is large enough to double up as a business center and the hotels restaurant. From here they serve excellent buffet breakfasts and Vietnamese and international cuisine for lunch and dinner. Perhaps even better is the hotels appreciation for guests looking for a more private dining experience - the full restaurant menu is available to order via the in-room smart TV’s and guests are given the option to to take breakfast, lunch or dinner in a location of their choice, be it on their terrace balcony.

Finally, the resort makes up for its slightly out of the old town location by providing free bicycles for guests to use throughout the day.

Location

Street food lovers and the culinary curious will love the Azumi’s position on the edge of Hoi An’s street food district that meanders along the surrounding streets - it’s just a two minute walk to the best cau lao, mi quang and noodle vendors in the city! The walking streets of the Unesco Heritage town can easily be reached on foot in 10 minutes, but during the hotter months you’d be well advised to make use of the hotel’s free bikes. An Bang beach is a 15 minute bike ride or five minutes by cab passing Hoi An’s organic vegetable village, Tra Que, which is just 5 minutes by bike from the hotel. Other popular nearby sites are the Marble Mountains -  a 15 minute drive and My Son, a mini Angkor Wat accessible in just over an hour by either car or boat. From Da Nang airport and train station, the Azumi is just a 35 minute drive.
